The present day maxim courses: “If… then I will be happy.”

And we live by it, and we buy it. We all do.

But why doesn’t it work?

The life hacks do not prevent divorces.
The purchases do not mend relationships.
The achievements do not free us from trauma.
The self-help and self-care do not free us from anxiety.

We are afraid of having and not having, and we are afraid of joining in and missing out.

So we default to culture.
More is better.
Better is great, but what about best?

I want.
I say.
I accomplish.
I choose.

But why doesn’t it work?

Depression rates are off the charts.
School shootings are common.
Abortion pills sell out.

But we have Good News.

No artificial intelligence.

No fancy models.
No complex coding.

No target audiences.
No sales pitches.

No divisive politics. View Artists  →
