Founder & CEO
Frankie founded The Justification of Youth to write a new story of freedom from injustice through the pursuit of joy. She has organized five student mission trips in the past year to the Dominican Republic, generating over $30,000 in Kids Alive charitable contributions. She has also served as a teaching assistant with St. Mary's College of California. There, she directed service-learning programs and sports clinics for orphans and at-risk children in the Dominican Republic. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Executive Vice President
Lindy is a graduate of Taylor University, where she studied Kinesiology and Psychology. She has worked with a team of students and the Taylor community to bring JOY to their campus. Sports teams, dorms, and clubs are now actively supporting at-risk youth. Lindy and the Taylor team have started a child sponsorship program that serves children in the Dominican Republic. Lindy just finished her training to be a flight attendant with United Airlines!
Director of Programs
Allie is a graduate of Miami University where she studied Health Promotion, Special Education, and Child Studies. She now oversees JOY operations with respect to service teams, leadership training, and all team development programs. Allie is passionate about young people living with purpose and believes that each person has a story worth telling.
Chief Operations Officer
Kaki is an undergraduate student majoring in Social Justice at Miami University. She currently serves as a liaison between JOY student organizations and operations. Outside of her work with JOY, Kaki has a passion for hockey and plays on the Miami women's D2 club hockey team!
Chief Marketing Officer
Margaret is currently a Professional Writing and Interactive Media Studies student at Miami University. Her passions for travel and working with children led her to the Dominican Republic and soon after, JOY! Since joining the team, Margaret has created JOY's website, as well as an internship program and blog to share students' experiences in the Dominican Republic. She is dedicated to providing encouragement and opportunity for young people to use their creative talents for purpose.
Sarah is currently a freshmen at Miami University who is majoring in International Studies with minors in Comparative Religion and Entrepreneurship. She is JOY's intern who does things like copying papers, grinding up coffee, research, and whatever JOY needs. Outside of JOY, she enjoys taking long walks on the beach... making people laugh, reading, imagining, coffee drinking, campaigning with Young Life, talking, and doing life with anyone and everyone!
